Gue – Lo diplomacy is just another version, linguistically. It is the weapon used by people who grew up in Jakarta, or have lived long enough in the Big Durian to pick up the accent, and whenever they go elsewhere within the same country, they use it as the leverage to get what they want.
It’s almost like someone who constantly speaks English to everyone they meet in a non-English speaking country.
You know, coz it sounds more educated.
